Parting from Dos Mosquises approximately one mile towards the
south, we find La Pelona de Dos Mosquises which is a sand key
with a coral reef of great coral mass which due to its
dimensions could well be hundreds of years old. Visibility is
not more than 20 meters due to the dark but nutrient rich waters
of the inside sea surrounding the area. It is perhaps why the
marine life is so rich and abundant fish species can be found.
At the bottom of the reef anemone and lobsters decorate the
bottom. Depth here goes from 8 to 15 meters.
